Dedicated to the memory of Jim Towers
Jim Towers passed away quietly at home on 5th October 2017, aged 77 years of age. An ex-policeman, Jim was also a tough, uncompromising back row rugby forward, who played for The Metropolitan Police, British Police, Middlesex, London Counties and had Two England Trials, He was also a former president of Haringey Rhinos RFC .He leaves behind his wife, Helen, two daughters Karen and Melissa and their four grandchildren.

Only just found this site online 8 years since Jim passed but think of Jim often had some great chats with Jim when I was playing for the Rhino’s HRFC absolute gentleman with a handshake like a vice and loved talking about his day’s playing rugby he was a legend at the Rhino’s I’m hoping to met up with former All Black Earle Kirton who I believe Jim played with back in the Dayi will definitely mention Jim to Earle Jim would often talk to me about Earle or Ernie as Jim called him, regards to Helen and Jim’s family massive respect from a former Rhino when Jim was at the club. Such sad news. So many memories. Australia, Hong Kong, rugby, the clissold, family parties. Too many to mention. Time to catch up with some old friends. We love you Jim and you will be sadly missed. God bless. The robinsons.
